Y'all know I'm a proud Texpat (or if you didn't, you know now). This farm tour of the Sauer-Beckmann Living History Farm is still one of my favorite historic farms I've visited since starting this blog. Parts of the ranch date to 1861, and it really has this sense of time standing still. Some of the buildings have these incredibly thick limestone walls--old fashioned air conditioning--and the temperature literally falls by 10 degrees or more as you step inside.
