Oh, Bring Us Some Figgy Pudding (or Jam)

Dear Readers,

I wanted to share a yummy treat with y'all that is great for this time of year...Adriatic fig jam, brie, and crackers.  No cooking required, and hits all the right notes (sweet, savory, creamy, crunchy.) My aunt and uncle gave us this delicious fig jam at Thanksgiving and, well, it didn't last long.  It's just like the filling on Fig Newtons, only better, with crunchy little seeds and a nice lemony twist.  I hunted more down at Whole Foods last week, and it's also carried at stores like World Market. The distinctive yellow-topped packaging makes it really easy to spot.

So then you just break out some crackers and brie (visit Trader Joe's for both, at the best prices I've found so far), and...

Yummy, fast, and luxurious. Also handy in case you have drop-in company you want to impress with your cheese know-how (the rind: to eat, or not to eat, that is the question.)  All three ingredients are easy to keep on hand, and then you just throw in a glass of wine (or bubbly) to create a pop-up party!
